Muscat. April 15, 2006: BankMuscat, the nation’s largest bank, recently hosted an evening branded “Partners-in-Progress” to thank and recognize it’s Card Service department’s merchant relationships. The Bank also announced the first ‘Partners-in-Progress Best Merchant 2005’ awards during the evening to recognize its top merchants by way of contribution to business volume across various merchant categories.
. The ‘Partners-In-Progress’ awards have been instituted as an annual event by the Bank.

BankMuscat’s Card Services department commenced its merchant acquiring business in 2002. Since then, with the support of its merchant partners and customers, the Bank’s card services department has grown to become the largest acquirer and issuer of cards in Oman. The Bank offers latest state-of-the-art-technology Point of Sale (POS) terminals, supported by a round-the-clock merchant help desk. The POS terminals accept MasterCard, Visa, AMEX and Diners cards and are equipped with CHIP readers, to accept EMV (Europay, MasterCard and Visa).
